fixing a crashed Lotus Elise Track Car
We never like to see a crashed Lotus, but we don’t mind fixing them! This Elise track car oversteered on the exit of Road Atlanta’s famous turn 10 chicane and had a wall impact that, while not hurting the driver, did require an intensive car rebuild.
With the car being taken fully apart, this presented the perfect opportunity to make a ton of upgrades that the driver had been waiting on moving forward with. This project became a classic case of “while we’re in there” with a myriad of engine, cooling, body, aero, and more upgrades added to the car. We also utilized some of the post-work track testing to provide some driver training, ensuring that the driver is as prepared as possible to improve as they get back on track.
