Our very own FASTx Lotus Exige S is a high-octane fusion of lightweight power, precision engineering, and fearless performance. Originally built for NASA TT2 time attack competition, this Lotus Exige has recently been transformed by FASTx into a NASA ST2 wheel-to-wheel contender, featuring advanced aero, dialed-in suspension, and a no-compromise focus on speed. Every component is optimized for lap dominance, delivering blistering performance thatleaves more powerful cars in the dust.
Kevin Fennell, FASTx Autosport
The fastest car with a VIN to EVER lap Harris Hill Raceway.
Originally built for NASA TT2 competition in his home garage, Kevin Fennell drove this K24-swapped Lotus Exige S to a class win at the 2018 NASA National Championship—laying down a 2:23.648 lap at Circuit of the Americas.
Since then, the car has evolved. Driven by a desire for wheel-to-wheel racing, we transformed it into a full NASA ST1 racecar through a meticulous redesign process. The result? A razor-sharp, corner-carving machine capable of outrunning even higher-horsepower Unlimited Class cars on the right track.
To date, this Exige has claimed 5 class wins in 6 races—including 2 overall victories against much “faster” competition. And this is just the beginning.
This car has become an invaluable testbed for the FASTx team—giving us a platform to experiment, refine our methods, and push the limits of our engineering before applying those lessons to customer projects.
Much of the knowledge gained from developing this Exige directly influenced the design and execution of our 1,000hp 2GR Lotus Elise build. And beyond that, it continues to sharpen our approach on every car that enters the shop.
We also use the car as a marketing vehicle—literally. Whether it’s on display at events, featured in videos, or used in partner content, this build helps us showcase our capabilities and collaborate with brands whose tools and components contribute to our success.
